Data destruction

Your data, gone for good. On paper.

Every drive we receive is handled responsibly. When you need proof, we'll wipe or destroy your drives in-house and certify every one.

Two ways your drives are handled

Either way, your old drives stay out of the landfill and out of the wrong hands.

Standard recycling

Free with any drop-off or pickup

Drives that come in with your electronics go to our trusted recycling partners, who process them responsibly. No paperwork, no extra cost.

Certified destruction

$10 per drive

For when you need proof, whether for your own records, a client or an audit. We catalog each drive, wipe or destroy it in-house, and issue a certificate of wipe/destruction.

How certified destruction works

The same simple process for one personal laptop or a stack of office workstations.

  1. Bring or send the drives

Drop off whole computers or loose drives, or add data destruction to a pickup.

  2. We catalog every drive

We record drives still in computers, or match drives you've already pulled against your own catalog.

  3. Wiped or destroyed, certified

Each drive is wiped or destroyed at our office, and you get a certificate of wipe/destruction.

Who needs a certificate

  • Businesses & offices retiring workstations, servers or laptops with client or financial data.
  • Medical, legal & financial offices that need a paper trail when equipment leaves the building.
  • Schools & nonprofits clearing out labs and storage rooms.
  • Households that want certainty before an old computer is recycled.

Good to know

Pulling drives yourself? Bring a simple list (serial numbers work great) and we'll match each drive to it on your certificate.

Pickup trip fees apply if we come to you: $25 in Prescott Valley, $35 in Prescott and Dewey-Humboldt, and $45 in Chino Valley and Mayer.

Data destruction questions

Do I have to pay $10 per drive?

No. The $10 per drive is only for certified destruction, when you want a certificate for your records. Without it, your drives are still handled responsibly through our trusted recycling partners, free of charge.

Do I get a certificate for data destruction?

Yes. Every drive we wipe or destroy is covered by a certificate of wipe/destruction. We catalog the drives too: either drives still inside computers, or drives you've already pulled, matched against your own list.

What about the data on my old computer or phone?

Can my business recycle with you?

Absolutely. We work with offices, schools, clinics and other small and mid-sized organizations. We'll pick up your old equipment, and if you need a paper trail, we'll wipe or destroy the drives in-house with a certificate for your records ($10 per drive). Drive cataloging is included.
