Is electronics recycling free?
Most of it is. Computers, phones, tablets, networking gear, cables, power supplies and printers are free to drop off. Flat-panel monitors and TVs 32 inches and under are free too. Only a few items have a fee: TVs over 32 inches ($25), CRT monitors ($25), rear projection TVs ($35) and copy machines ($40). See all fees.
Why does the sign say Benchmark Computers?
You're in the right place. DLG Recycling is a subsidiary of Benchmark Computers and operates from the same location at 8118 E State Route 69 Ste A. Look for the Benchmark Computers sign and bring your electronics inside.
When can I drop off?
Monday – Friday, 10am–12pm & 1pm–5pm. We close for lunch from 12pm–1pm, so plan around that window.
Do I need an appointment?
Not for a normal drop-off during open hours. If you're bringing a truck or trailer load, several TVs or a copier, please call ahead so we can be ready to unload.
What can't you take?
We can't accept smoke detectors, alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9-volt), light bulbs, or large appliances and anything containing freon or coolant, such as refrigerators, freezers and AC units. Not sure about an item? Give us a call.
Do you take TVs and monitors?
Yes. TVs 32 inches and under are free. Larger LCD, plasma and CRT TVs are $25 each, and rear projection TVs are $35 each. Flat-panel computer monitors are free, and CRT (tube) monitors are $25 each.
Do you take batteries?
We take the batteries that come with the devices we accept, such as laptop, phone and tablet batteries and UPS battery backups. We don't accept loose alkaline batteries like AA, AAA, C, D or 9-volt.
What about the data on my old computer or phone?
Every drive we receive is handled responsibly through our trusted recycling partners, at no charge. If you need proof your data is gone, we'll wipe or destroy your drives in-house for $10 per drive and give you a certificate of wipe/destruction. Learn about data destruction.
Do you pick up?
Yes. Pickup is $25 in Prescott Valley, $35 in Prescott and Dewey-Humboldt, and $45 in Chino Valley and Mayer, plus any item fees. Call us to schedule, or send a pickup request.
Can my business recycle with you?
Absolutely. We work with offices, schools, clinics and other small and mid-sized organizations. We'll pick up your old equipment, and if you need a paper trail, we'll wipe or destroy the drives in-house with a certificate for your records ($10 per drive). Drive cataloging is included. Business pickup details.
Do I have to pay $10 per drive?
No. The $10 per drive is only for certified destruction, when you want a certificate for your records. Without it, your drives are still handled responsibly through our trusted recycling partners, free of charge.
Do I get a certificate for data destruction?
Yes. Every drive we wipe or destroy is covered by a certificate of wipe/destruction. We catalog the drives too: either drives still inside computers, or drives you've already pulled, matched against your own list.
Who runs DLG Recycling?

Don took the time to discuss the color printer and several other issues I have with our home computers. He gave me great advice and I highly recommend you go see Don with any of your old electronics.
